Keep it dry, and if it does get wet let it dry naturally away from any heat source. Condition it two or three times a year with a neutral leather balm. Do not use detergent or alcohol.
Not if it is the right one. Our layers are cut from breathable fabrics for shade, sun protection and heavily air conditioned interiors, not for insulation. In peak summer, walk at first light or after dusk regardless of what your dog is wearing.

Measure the chest girth around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs, and the back length from the base of the collar to the base of the tail. Measure with your dog standing, and keep the tape snug against the coat without compressing it. If a measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger one. A garment that is marginally generous can be worn; one that is marginally tight cannot.

Outer: technical cotton twill with a touch of elastane, woven for breathability in Gulf heat. Trim: full grain vegetable tanned leather. Hardware: champagne gold plated solid brass. Lining: soft brushed cotton.
Sponge clean with cool water and a mild soap. Do not machine wash, do not tumble dry, and do not iron the leather trim. Reshape while damp and dry flat, out of direct sun. Wipe the hardware with a soft dry cloth. Store flat rather than hung.
